Recruited to establish the bids function for a global project management consultancy, building process maturity and strategic oversight from the ground up. Operating within a lean structure, I manage strategic pursuits from £1m–£50m across science, infrastructure, and heritage sectors - combining storytelling with evidence-based delivery.Key Achievements:1: Set up the entire bid infrastructure, from trackers and RACI to boilerplate content and internal playbooks.2. Actively shaping growth strategy, working with directors to qualify new opportunities, challenge go/no-go decisions, and align delivery capabilities to client needs.3: Submitted 10+ multi-disciplinary proposals in first 10 months; early wins in Data Centre sector.4. Repositioned bid narrative to emphasise benefits, impact, and outcomes - improving shortlist rate significantly.5. Introduced internal bid masterclasses, process guides, and reusable lesson-learned libraries to upskill consultants and raise quality across submissions.6. Led the end-to-end delivery of our case study repository - from building the business case and securing senior backing, to piloting, pivoting tools, and delivering company-wide rollout and training. Now a go-to resource for real-life project facts in our bids.
