Responsible for leading the frontline operational team across a total of 5 sites including Transfer Stations and Household Recycling Centres, this role plays a pivotal part in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant waste and recycling services. Accountable for operational delivery, project oversight and team performance, I ensure all services align with regulatory requirements, financial constraints and contractual KPI’s.As a senior member of the operational and leadership team, I oversee talent management and resource planning to meet performance targets and ensure service resilience. I lead on the preparation and management of annual budgets, maintaining tight control over expenditure while driving service delivery within financial parameters. Health and safety compliance, environmental regulation adherence, and operational best practices are embedded across all activities.The role requires consistent communication of the company’s vision and values, fostering a motivated, high-performing workforce. I champion a culture of learning and development through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning. I work collaboratively across divisions to deliver integrated waste management solutions, challenging existing practices and identifying opportunities for innovation and long-term efficiencies. I lead on key operational projects, including the planning and implementation of the new Avonmouth MRF facility, involving due diligence, pricing analysis, and operational design.
