As the Director of Engineering for Consumer Knowledge, I lead the team responsible for the beating-heart of customer and pet data for Petco. My mission is to shape raw data into a strategic asset that powers personalized experiences for every pet parent we serve.At the core of our data ecosystem, my teams own the strategy and execution for our Master Data Management (MDM) platform. We architect, build, and maintain the 15+ critical integrations that connect this central hub to every corner of our business—from marketing automation and e-commerce to our loyalty programs and customer support.In 2025, we cleaned up stale and duplicate data by 40% resulting in improvements and cost saving across the organization. The team was recomposed using the team-of-teams framework focused on driving value to the business while reducing our budget by 25%.As a key member of the team that launched our company\'s AI coding initiative, I champion the use of generative AI to accelerate development, enhance code quality, and solve complex problems more efficiently. We are leading the way to establish a clear, secure, and effective framework for leveraging AI coding tools.
