ABOUT COURTNEY CORLEY

Dr. Courtney D. Corley is nationally recognized leader in the field of data science and biosurveillance for his foundational work in social media analytics, computational epidemiology, and natural language processing. His data science acumen centers on the development of transformational deep learning and narrow AI methods which provide scientific insight into multi-scale unstructured and semi-structured data streams. Dr. Corley\'s biosurveillance research develops explanatory and anticipatory computational models integrating social, behavioral, and cultural factors with biomedical factors. This research demonstrates how decision-making regarding health responses to human, animal, plant, water and air biological events can be supported through leveraging predictive modeling techniques informed by systems science. Professionally, he is active in several societies, leads working groups, mentors students, and peer-reviews for many journals, conferences, and funding bodies.
