Responsible for all legal affairs for the North American region of GE Power’s $27B business. Manage 30+ lawyers and Contract Managers in their support of the Operations, Commercial and Finance teams across Power’s Gas Power Systems, Steam Power Systems, Power Services, GE Grid, and Power Conversion businesses. Partner with HQ and Region Senior Leadership, advising on business strategy from a commercial and operational perspective. Provide hands-on strategic support on complex transactions and risk assessment and management, especially for new unit sales on gas and steam turbine equipment; EPC installation projects performance, claims and disputes; and long-term services agreements.Manage litigation, including bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings of Power’s customers, and corporate governance matters.Utilize deep domain experience in advising Sales teams on the structuring and negotiating complex contracts in the power generation industry. Provide strategic leadership on software and cloud-based digital solutions transactions across the power generation fleet, including software as a service, platform as a service, cyber security software offerings and data analytics.Continue to support the Power Services’ Global Sales Leadership team, guiding them on strategic growth, competition law concerns, and risk assessment.Provide leadership on compliance issues and training.
