ABOUT COLLEEN KOWALSKI

I began my college career as a nursing student at Case Western Reserve University. After a year and a half in the nursing program, I realized that I enjoyed discussing trending topics on Twitter and upcoming Cleveland events with patients more than medical care. So I made the big move (18 minutes down the street) to Cleveland State University to study Promotional Communications and Marketing. I hoped to turn my love of social media, content creation, and promotional events into a career. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in May of 2018 and began my career in the hospitality industry. My passion for planning photo-worthy events and engaging customer experiences grew as an Event Manager where I planned events for as few as 15 people to large corporate galas and conferences for over 500. My managers noticed how often I would pause to take photos of our beautiful spaces, gourmet food, and delicious cocktails, and I was promoted to Lead Navigator and Social Media Manager.(AKA: never stop taking pictures of your food, kids.)I made the switch to the professional education industry in August of 2020. As the Content Manager for Exit Planning Institute, I infused exit planning educational content with my unique writing style. I managed all EPI social media accounts and have grown EPI\'s following by over 100% in less than one year. Helping build a brand\'s presence on social media is a passion of mine. I currently manage social media accounts for a variety of brands and help thought leaders grow their online communities. Outside of work, I can be found strolling through vintage stores looking for the perfect clothes to fit my \"1970s Art Teacher\" vibes, taking in a live show at Playhouse Square or Guardians game at Progressive Field, relaxing with my rescue dog Remy, or live-tweeting the latest season of the Bachelor/ette.
