ABOUT MARCUS COETZEE
My mission is to work with organizations that wish to change the world and to help them to find strategic clarity and encouragement. I am a management consultant with 27 years of experience in the third sector. I have spent over 23 years providing strategic support to organizations that have a social, economic and environmental impact – primarily social enterprises, charities, high-impact businesses and government departments. I have worked on over 180 projects, some spanning multiple years and containing a number of assignments. My speciality is strategy design, facilitation of complex strategic and restructuring processes, and mentoring social entrepreneurs. I have also been involved in several initiatives to improve the social entrepreneurial ecosystem at a national level. Furthermore, I have an active blog on these subjects. I am based in Scotland after emigrating here from South Africa. I have international experience and have visited other African countries and served clients based in Scotland, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Angola, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. I have also consulted on regional and continent-wide projects in Africa.
