Conducted research on the 1993 Madımak Massacre in Turkey, with a focus on Alevi history and identity, the city of Sivas, Turkish folk music, and the saz. Met monthly with Professor Davison to discuss findings and research progress. Compiled, organized, and produced physical research materials to support faculty research and the development of a future course.

ABOUT CLEMENTINE GNOTO
Hello! I’m Clementine, an Ivorian-American Political Science major and Film Correlate at Vassar College with a deep interest in both storytelling and law. While I am drawn to the creative side of the entertainment industry, I am equally fascinated by the legal and sociological frameworks that shape it. After undergrad, I plan to either pursue a Ph.D. or attend law school. Beyond my academic and career aspirations, I am deeply committed to giving back to the African continent, particularly through advocacy for marginalized communities. One of my lifelong goals is to start a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about sexual assault, both globally and especially in Africa.
