WORK HISTORY
Research Assistant @Vassar College
Poughkeepsie, NY, US
I work 12 hours a week to investigate the structure and function of proteins from Salmonella Typhimurium involved in the spread of antimicrobial resistance. In this position, I utilize methods in structural biochemistry such as x-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, SDS PAGE, and EMSA, and chemical crosslinking. I have trained at the National Center for Cryo-EM Access and Training at the New York Structural Biology Center and prepared and imaged screens with TraK and other pCU1 relaxosome proteins TraI and IHF on the Cryo-EM. This research was presented at the Mid-Hudson ACS URS and the Hudson Valley Life Sciences Symposium in spring 2024.
