ABOUT CLAIRE TAYLOR
With a loyal history of working in BBC Children’s for over 20 years across Production and Presentation, I have a thorough knowledge of what it entails to produce the highest quality of content for our young audience. I am an honest and reliable, responsive and adaptable Editor with a positive attitude and infectious enthusiasm. Creative, with an eye for detail, I am a passionate leader who thrives on supporting and inspiring my team to deliver excellence, whilst maintaining superb team morale.I have series produced flagship shows such as \"Something Special\" and CBeebies Bedtime Stories and am very proud to have achieved 4 BAFTA nominations for my work. My history of working with children with additional needs and learning difficulties, has developed a passion and drive to make ground breaking and inclusive content. I was responsible for bringing George Webster to CBeebies who only one year into his presenting career, has recently scooped Best Presenter BAFTA and appeared on Strictly Come Dancing\'s Christmas Special. George and I are currently working on 2 picture books for Scholastic which we hope will make young readers and their families, more accepting of difference. My drive to make a difference with the content I produce is visible throughout CBeebies Bedtime Stories- Rob Delaney - first Makaton signed storyLora Fachie\'s - first braille read and audio described story Rose Ayling-Ellis - first BSL signed story Rob Burrow - first story told through an eye-gaze deviceAll of the above made waves in the media and I was invited to sit on the red sofa at BBC Breakfast to speak about the Rob Burrow story - I was also interviewed on BBC Radio 4, 5 Live, BBC North West and BBC Radio Leeds. The power of the CBeebies Bedtime Story brand is phenomenal and having worked on building it\'s status and reputation over many years, I am very proud. I was responsible for the first Tom Hardy booking which elevated the brand to great heights. I have produced and directed the likes of Dolly Parton, The Duchess of Cambridge, Sir Elton John, Sam Ryder and managed lucrative and complex shoots with talent at Glastonbury Music Festival. Looking to expand the brand, I curated an event spin-off where celebrities read to a live audience of families in a starlit tent. This successfully toured a range of festivals in Summer 2022 and we are currently in the middle of our 2023 tour.Currently Editor of CBeebies Bedtime Stories, CBeebies House and CBBC HQ where I manage a large production team, 10 presenters and 2 puppets - Hacker T Dog and Dodge.
