Claire has practiced exclusively in the area of Environment, Planning and Development Law since her admission to practice in 2002. Claire specialises in Planning & Development Law and provides advice to local government clients and developers alike with respect to all issues arising under the Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act 2016 including compliance provisions and development assessment generally. In particular, she; Appears as counsel in the Environment Resources & Development Court in planning appeals and civil and criminal enforcement proceedings; Appears as instructing solicitor and junior counsel in the Supreme Court of South Australia in relation to planning appeals and Judicial Review proceedings; Represents the interests of local government and private clients alike at mediations and settlement conferences for the purposes of dispute resolution in the Environment Resources & Development Court; Appears before local government bodies and the Commission; Drafts Land Management Agreements with respect to the preservation, conservation, development and management of land under the Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act 2016; Prepares and prosecutes enforcement proceedings pursuant to the Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act 20163; Drafts statutory notices pursuant to the Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act 2016; Advises on property related matters.
