ABOUT CHRISTOPHER J. SPINDLER

Currently I am an educator for high school and college students in the field of VR/AR, animation, and game design. I am working on my Doctoral degree in Instructional Design with a technology concentration. For over 17 years I worked in the broadcast and communications industry as a motion graphic designer, on-air talent, photographer, videographer, writer and graphic designer. I have been apart of news organizations such as ABC, CBS, MediaOne, and independent fortune 500 companies, in which I have gained real-world experience and made a name for me within the news industry. With that, I was able to start my own advertising and production company and provide opportunities such as internships and freelance jobs to my students looking to get in the business. My 10 years as a corporate trainer has given me an understanding of what industry needs from students, and the fundamentals students need to enter this every changing world. This is why my classrooms are based on real-world platforms and push students to go beyond the lesson. I push my students to learn more, push them to realize that taking the time now to learn and make mistakes, makes them more of an asset to their company and therefore their community. That being said, I hold myself to this same standard by pushing myself to learn more. I do this by continuing to grow my contacts and participate in national and state organizations. On my free time I enjoy dirt-biking, boating, fishing, and camping with my wife and children.
