ABOUT ERIC MERCER

In my teaching, I adopt a student-centered approach that focuses on facilitating meaningful learning through critical reflection and an inclusive environment. I strive to develop core psychological knowledge and equip students with valuable analytical abilities, research skills, and multicultural perspectives. By creating a welcoming space conducive to intellectual risk-taking and questioning assumptions, I strive to mentor ethical, analytical, and socially conscious thinkers capable of reaching their full potential.As an Industrial and Organizational (I-O) Psychology Practitioner, I am passionate about using psychological theories, models, applications, and methods to assist organizations and the individuals who work there. My goal is to promote fairness, equity, and unbiased decision-making in organizations while enhancing the effectiveness of teams and helping people form stronger relationships and greater levels of understanding.Ultimately, my passion includes integrating diverse voices and viewpoints, staying up-to-date on educational and psychological research, and continuously refining my approach based on feedback. I endeavor to make a positive impact on the lives of those I work with and teach.
