Joined the UK Client Delivery Team as a Business Intelligence Consultant. Working on both implementation and customisation of the BigHand Business Intelligence product for law firms. A dashboard and data warehouse across Revenue, General Ledger, Profitability and KPI/Partner performance. The product integrates with a number of PMS (Practice Management System) providers, it also provides a platform for ad-hoc custom reporting and integration with other financial or operational systems. Projects include: • Data warehouse migration for a top 30 UK law firm on their move from Elite Enterprise to the Aderant Expert PMS. Full dependency analysis and project breakdown, implementation of replacement ETL, rewrite of all dimension, fact and summary builds from the new PMS. Forensic data analysis between legacy and new warehouses to identify conversion issues and anomalous scenarios. Supporting not only the core BigHand product but also their heavily customised warehouse and plethora of custom reports. • Data warehouse restructuring for dynamic currency for a global law firm with 60 offices in 20 countries. The original warehouse drew data from Elite 3E PMS into a fixed set of alternate currencies. Delivered in 13 weeks, the warehouse was re-engineered. The ETL translates the transaction currency into the firm currency for all facts. The dashboard procedures refactored to convert the firm currency to the destination currency on the fly utilising the correct daily currency rate for each transaction. Any new transaction currencies added to the PMS are converted and presented in the dashboard correctly without the need for warehouse schema adjustment. • BigHand BI warehouse implementation and customisation for UK top 50 law firm migration to Aderant Expert PMS.
