Joined innovative start-up efforts to commercialize a new, disruptive technology to maneuver satellites and deep space craft. Toward a New Paradigm After a decade of development, Hyperbolic Systems LLC is pleased to announce the Sapphire Thruster Series, based on groundbreaking, patent pending, “Continuous Momentum Exchangel” technology. The design uses NO PROPELLANT, is scalable and will work with any size spacecraft – Geo-Comm to CubeSat. The technology allows for throttleable and reversible thrust, allowing system designers increased flexibility in determining station - keeping and orbital - maneuvering solutions. The thruster is powered with electricity (solar or thermo-electric) and is straightforward to integrate mechanically. The spacecraft will be lighter, have a simpler design, longer operational life, and lower launch costs. No gases are emitted, thus removing damage and degradation risk to optical and thermal surfaces. We are initially focusing on the LEO satellites that experience high atmospheric drag and premature orbital decay. We feel that we are able to extend the life span of these vehicles by 2X, lowering mission costs, and increasing profits of the project. Exciting STUFF!
