Shell and Equinor joined companies to form Adura, so I transitioned to the new company with my previous role. The role involves operating and maintaining various process and electrical equipment for a heavy oil field such as:Metering and Perform Pigging Operations, Loading and Offloading Cargo to a tanker and to maintain the specified quality and quantity of product and chemicals on board. Adhere to Swivel Turret Loading Procedures for importing and exporting of product, monitor steam heaters, cargo pumps, purging and flushing reinstatement of pipe work when required.Responsible for Crude Oil Washing operations, water washing, gas freeing and preparing cargo and ballast tanks for entry and assist with inspection of cargo and ballast tanks as per Computerised Maintenance Management System.Stand in as CRO and REP when required, monitor the Konsberg System, K-POS, K-CHIEF, K-SAFE Systems and Delta-V metering package.Senior Authorised Electrical Person for High Voltage work.Act as Area Authority and Performing Authority through the Permit to Work System to prevent any undue conflict or unsafe acts, for work and isolations. Plan, Prepare and Perform process, electrical and mechanical isolations and prepare permits.Report or communicate any abnormal condition or potential equipment failure that could cause unsafe operation or affect export product quality using SAP.Carry out first-line diagnostics on process and electrical equipment and routine maintenance.Take responsibility for the updating relevant logs and taking oil samples as required, taking and recording interface levels / samples of product in storage tanks.Participate in the Operations and Emergency support duty call-out rota when required.Perform Laboratory Testing as per Equinor Guidelines for offloading and OWOB analysis, Act as Emergency Response Team Member, Authorised Gas tester, Banksman and Slinger, Helideck Assistant, Safety Representative and Advanced First Aider.
