ABOUT CHRISTOPHER LENDERINK

I am a Research Scientist specializing in product development at Verdure Sciences. I develop & formulate safe, efficacious, and unique raw materials that go into dietary supplements, fortified functional foods, and/or topical cosmetics. My work involves collaboration with clinical investigators, process engineers, and a global team of regulatory, safety, and toxicology experts. Through this collaboration, we identify ingredients with clinically supported medicinal value and determine the class of compounds behind this data. This could lead to initiatives such as cultivating crops with botanicals standardized to these compounds or identifying other potential natural sources. We then commercialize the growing, harvesting, and isolation process all the while preserving the phytochemicals/phytonutrients/compounds of interest. Our goal is to deliver these products in exciting and unique delivery formats while still translating the benefits we identified at the bench scale. We ensure an exceptional consumer experience, all the while maintaining compound bioavailability and guaranteeing stability throughout shelf life. This work starts with an idea at a laboratory bench and ends with a global product that ends up in the hands of millions of consumers.
