ABOUT CHRISTA BUTLER

Christa is the Director for Clinical Nursing Resource Management at Wellstar MCG Health. She is an ANCC Board Certified Nurse Executive with over 29 years of nursing experience. Christa earned an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Augusta State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia, and a Master of Science degree in Management with a focus on Healthcare Administration, from Troy University. Christa has held increasingly responsible roles, successfully utilizing her experience and expertise to advance the practice of nursing and healthcare as a whole. This charismatic nurse leader has served as a Faculty Presenter for the Institute of Patient- and Family Centered Care where she presented both Nationally and Internationally on implementing and sustaining PFCC in the Ambulatory setting. She has collaborated with Patient Advisors on several Initiatives that include a hand hygiene video that was nominated for an APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) Award. Christa has also served as a CSRA ALS Board Member, a charter member of the CSRA Stroke Coalition, and Advisory Council Member for area schools where she offers the clinical perspective for school leaders. Currently, Christa serves as Chair of the Pipeline POWER Collaborative in which health professionals encourage young people to pursue healthcare careers. Christa wholeheartedly appreciates the opportunity to leverage her expertise and resources to provide the outstanding, compassionate, quality care that patients Christa supports inpatient Labor Management at Wellstar MCG Health. In this role, Christa facilitates new position justifications through productivity assessment, serves as a key player in contract labor negotiations, and coordinates Premium Labor Programs. Christa also supports leaders with budgets, the allocation of resources, completing characteristic surveys annually and benchmarking. In addition to the aforementioned tasks, Christa provides Director level support to the Float Pool, Staffing Office, Patient Observation (Tele sitting) Suite, the Discharge Lounge and Dialysis.Christa provides productivity and benchmarking education for nurse leaders and most recently presented “StrataJazz 101” in which she outlined how to navigate the platform as well as practical day-to-day strategies to positively impact the bottom line.
