ABOUT CHRISTIAN G. POPOTRE

With over a decade of experience in child protection and humanitarian response, I am committed to ensuring every child has the right to safety, care, and support. My expertise spans program development, technical advisory, capacity building, and inter-agency collaboration, strengthening protection systems in crisis settings while serving as surge staff deployed to the Eastern, West and Central Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, as part of the SCI Global Expertise Humanitarian Surge Platform (GEHSP). As a Child Protection Advisor, I lead strategic initiatives, provide technical guidance, and drive program excellence. In previous roles, I have enhanced case management systems across West and Central Africa (WCA) as a Regional Roving Specialist, ensuring quality service delivery in complex environments. With expertise in information management, evaluation, and research, I develop data-driven, results-oriented solutions to address critical child protection challenges. In my most recent role with the Centre Humanitarian Child Protection Team, I helped refine technical approaches and contributed to global inter-agency initiatives, including Technical Working Groups (TWGs), as well as leading the Case Management Community of Practice in WCA. I also specialize in safeguarding, compliance, and program quality, ensuring impactful and sustainable solutions for vulnerable children.
