I founded the not for profit organisation Ibex Earth in 2008 to instigate long-term, sustainable change for our planet and the incredible diversity of life that it contains. The organisation can be split into two distinct entities:The first donates staff time and resources into supporting environmental and conservation charities, helping them to deliver and enhance their own projects and determine whether they can be included in Ibex Earth projects going forwards. This also includes the Ibex Earth \'Ambassadors for Global Biodiversity\' programme, which works with over twenty remarkable individuals to support their efforts in making global change. The second aspect is a consultancy arm that allows us to provide excellent advice to organisations from the private and public sector that are looking to embrace sustainability, develop an exciting new corporate and environmental responsibility programme or require support in delivering their annual sustainability report. ABOUT CHRISTOPHER LIVEMORE
After qualifying as a solicitor in London, I founded the not for profit organisation Ibex Earth, which has the mission of instigating long-term, sustainable change for our planet and the incredible diversity of life it contains. This has led to some incredible opportunities that have resulted in projects featuring on the BBC (Decade of Discovery), winning international awards (Captain Scott Society \'Spirit of Adventure\') and delivering in excess of worth of pro bono legal support and assistance to some amazing environmental and conservation charities. I have extensive experience of working in the private, public, third and academic sectors and utilise this to design, develop and deliver projects that help tackle some of the most pressing environmental challenges of today. One of the main projects is called the Green Square Mile, which works directly with businesses based in and around the City of London to protect biodiversity hotspots that are equivalent in size to that of at least one square mile. In recent years I have been able to participate in a series of endurance challenges, including ultra marathons, swimming the English Channel and climbing a series of mountains in Africa and South America, which I have used as a platform to raise in excess of for environmental causes. This August I will be aiming to run five marathons in five days to raise awareness about the benefits of nature on human health and well-being.
