For my latest project I wrote infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager Templates) to deploy cloud native firewall solutions in Azure VWAN and AWS Transit Gateway architectures. This code provides a variety of deployment options for security features including filtering of websites categorized as high liability, intrusion detection/prevention services, and network traffic/firewall routing options to help prevent lateral movement. Having these different options available for deployment allows deployment engineers the flexibility to meet a variety of different customer’s needs.
