ABOUT CHRIS EDMUNDS
United Creatives is a multi-award winning design agency founded by graphic designer Chris Edmunds in 2005. Starting with his appointment as Lead Artist for New Islington Millenium Village ensuing design projects have included branding for start-up businesses, drinks label design, street signage, building brands and creative collaboration with landscape architects and architects to deliver on a new vision for graphic design within the public realm. Mediums & Techniques As well as a love of design-based craft and letterpress print United Creatives have a playful approach to environmental branding and work with a myriad of type and image-based techniques that go beyond paper and ink. Laser cut steel illustration, CNC-carving, giant wall murals, casting and permanent outdoor exhibitions have all played a part in forming a powerful creative toolkit. Clients & Partners Chris has collaborated on projects large and small for developers Urban Splash, Manchester City Council, The Coop, Hawkins\\Brown, Grants Associates, Planit IE and URS International as well as having co-written regeneration programs for the Homes and Communities Agency. Thriving on creativity and diversity outdoor projects have been finalised for a range of clients - from a homeless hostel in Hull called The Crossings to a suite of outdoor furniture for The Natural History Museum. Design for print projects, many of them highly praised, have been finalised for Fortnum & Mason, The London Distillery, The Ivy, Kew Gardens, Fords Gin, BrewDog, Street Feast, Pouring With Heart, LA, Gordon Ramsay and Compass Box Whisky. Dutch Background Working with a small and dedicated team in Manchester, whilst keeping strong ties with the capital, Chris\' approach to graphic design has been greatly influenced by an early internship with BRS Premsela Vonk in Amsterdam (now EDEN, the European Designers Network) whereby a non-compartmentalised approach to design is the underlying difference to the mainstay of British design.
