ABOUT CHIARA V. CABIGLIO

Hello and welcome! I\'m glad you\'re here. 🪷 \"Most people are afraid of suffering. But suffering is a kind of mud to help the lotus flower of happiness grow. There can be no lotus flower without the mud.\"-Thích Nhất Hạnh I believe that \'trauma is not what happens to you; it is what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you,\' as Dr. Gabor Maté so eloquently explains. The dis-ease we are experiencing collectively stems from our \'severed belonging\' and disconnection from ourselves, each other, and from Mother Earth. As humans, we are wired for connection and our survival depends not only on biological factors but on the quality of our emotional bonds—what could be described as \'the survival of the nurtured.\' When these bonds are disrupted, especially in early life, we develop patterns of disconnection and self-protection that echo throughout our relationships and societies. This fragmentation perpetuates cycles of pain, alienation, and ecological harm. Only by recognizing the vital role of nurturing, secure connections can we begin to heal these wounds, fostering a renewed sense of belonging and harmony within ourselves, our communities, and the natural world. We all have moments of feeling stuck and scared. Life brings us countless challenges and sometimes we need support from others to help us through difficult times. I’ve been where you are and know what it’s like to feel stuck, afraid, lost, and alone. Reaching out for support can take immense courage and is not easy. Seeking therapy is the beginning of you blooming into a lotus flower from the mud of life and rising from the ashes like a phoenix. In my work with clients, I treat the whole person by using a blend of somatic trauma therapy, breathwork, shamanic journeying and guided imagery, inner child healing, mindfulness and compassion, and meditation. In addition to the somatic trauma treatment models called the Comprehensive Resource Model® (CRM) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I also use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and am IFS-informed.
