ABOUT CHIARA LONGHI

With 18 years of experience spanning cultural diplomacy, international relations, and human rights advocacy, I have built a career at the crossroads of culture, geopolitics, and social impact. My professional journey began in the international arena, where I collaborated with organizations such as the United Nations in The Hague (ICTY) and the OSCE in Serbia, focusing on transitional justice, human rights, and the development of democratic institutions, particularly in the Western Balkans. This foundation in international relations provided me with in-depth expertise in policy-making, cross-border collaboration, and the promotion of dialogue in complex geopolitical contexts. I later transitioned to cultural diplomacy, where I was selected as an early team member to launch Fondazione Imago Mundi - Gallerie delle Prigioni, created by entrepreneur Luciano Benetton in Treviso, Italy. In this role, I have successfully co-designed and implemented exhibitions and initiatives that bridge culture, communication, and social impact, combining managerial skills with curatorial vision, driving strategic partnerships with leading institutions and experts worldwide. Prior to this, I worked at FABRICA, the Benetton Group’s renowned communication research center, where I honed my skills in communication strategy and innovative project development. I have managed an annual budget of €150K, coordinated a curatorial team to deliver 17 international group exhibitions over five years, and led communication efforts for over 40 events, including openings, talks, and conferences. My partnerships include esteemed organizations such as GEDI Group, LIMES, UNHCR, the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, Museo MAXXI in Rome, and the University of Padua. Fluent in Italian, English, Serbian-Croatian-Bosnian, and proficient in Russian, I am passionate about leveraging culture and dialogue for social impact and I appreciate environments where creativity meets strategy to create opportunities for meaningful change.
