ABOUT CHARLIE RYAN
Presently Director and Assistant General Counsel (Strategy & International) at Raytheon. I am lead lawyer / general counsel for various Raytheon entities across Europe and the Middle East.Since 2020 I have provided pro-bono support to Hesta Crisis charity, being the largest domestic abuse and modern slavery charity in the UK. I initiate, project manage and execute pro-bono partnerships between Hestia and corporates (for example: Uber, HSBC, Royal Mail, Parcelforce, Barclays and multiple global law firms). Previously spent 2.5 years in a boutique management consultancy defence firm which advised the leadership of the Royal Navy on various matters. Prior to that, 4 years in-house experience with Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide, where I was Lead Legal Counsel for Parcelforce Worldwide (advising board members and all other parts of the business) and Head of Sales Contracts for Royal Mail Group (responsible for all sales contracts). Combined, those areas of the business generated +£8bn revenue.Previous experience at 3 top tier international law firms, with a focus on infrastructure, finance, defence and logistics sectors. I have worked in both the UK and Australian legal markets. I have secondment experience at BAE Systems and the Ministry of Defence.
