ABOUT CHARLES A. TRIBBETT

Charles A. Tribbett co-heads the firm\'s CEO and Board Consulting Groupin the Americas, and is an expert on succession planning, board selection and diversity recruitment. He also is a member of the firm’s Digital Transformation Practice. Charles focuses on senior level assignments, such as CEO, President, Executive Vice President and general management positions across industries. He represents clients on digital, mobile, social media and analytic assignments and he has led numerous diversity assignments for companies across all industries. Handling assignments across the firm’s six sectors, Charles has conducted some of the most notable projects in the search industry. He conducted the chief executive officer searches for such notable companies as Motorola, Cardinal Health, Harley-Davidson, Walgreens and Bank of America. He has handled Board assignments for Monsanto, The Walt Disney Company, Citigroup, Procter & Gamble, Walgreens, and Home Depot as relevant examples. Originally from Chicago, Charles received his B.A, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Marquette University and his J.D. from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, he worked for a number of years as a corporate securities attorney with the Wall Street firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Charles joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 1989 and served a three-year term as a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee. He chairs the firm’s LEAP Committee, which is in charge of promotions. He also serves on the Boards of Northern Trust Corporation, Rush University Medical Center, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management’s Advisory Board. In addition, Charles is the co-author of the book Business Evolves, Leadership Endures, which addresses the age-old question of “What does it take to be a great leader?”
