Gathering the electrical design requirements from the different disciplines and coordinating with other discipline design teams.• Planning and reporting progress on electrical activities in multidisciplinary projects.• Preparing HV, MV, LV system descriptions, specifications and single line diagrams.• Working with concept, basic and detail engineering activities related to power distribution.• Preparation of Electrical calculations and equipment load schedules, to size and design the electrical equipment.• Involved in developing the design philosophy for substations and switchgears.• Power system studies such as load flows, short circuit studies, arc flash and protection coordination studies and transient stability studies. Have knowledge of protection Intelligent Electronic Devices.• Attendance in design meetings with vendors and contractors and attendance in inter-disciplinary BIM/model reviews or 2D drawing reviews.• Participated in procuring substations, switchgear, power transformers, control systems, and service contracts, ensuring technical requirements are met.• Oversaw Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for electrical equipment, ensuring they meet performance standards.• Checking red line documents, As Built, and handover of the electrical plant to the Electrical Operations & Maintenance manager.
