I joined in March 2020 as their first and only project manager, and have grown the team and function as the business has scaled up. The team now consists of 3-4 project managers, reporting to me, covering both Customer and Product work. Our projects range in size from a few months to multiple years, addressing both innovative research & development and customer missions. I manage a number of programmes, as well as some the customer projects. As well as managing stage reviews, this also includes supporting the pre-sales process, on the programmatic elements. I have also worked to define and mature our processes and standards, ensuring we work to relevant standards and allowing an increasing level of reuse. Our reporting is based in standard Microsoft tools, with some use of Monday, with the main work/task system being redmine. We use both traditional and agile approaches depending on the work and customer.
