TL;DR: Former leader of global sales and partnerships teams that made the switch into tech and engineering. Passionate about making customers happy, empowering entrepreneurs, and doing some good for the world. React / Vue / Java / Postgres / JavaScript / TypeScript / Node / SQL / KafkaHappiest when tackling a big challenge that makes a difference in customers’ lives, but It wasn’t always that way. I majored in Finance because I was ‘good at Math’ and was assured I’d make good money. It didn’t take long to realise that financial statements didn\'t excite me - helping people achieve their potential and building new things lights the fire inside me. Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to lead global projects at the intersection of sales, brand, and product in the tourism industry with global partners like The New York Times, Lonely Planet, Atlas Obscura, MasterCard, Google, Culture Trip, Match.com and many more.I led different functions across sales and marketing before embarking on a career switch into software engineering, and I love nothing more than bringing cross-functional teams and expertise together with the aim of delighting customers. All of the above is underpinned by the belief that business can be a force for good in the world, and expanding that virtue is my personal mission.
