Exec Director on the Board of SCOTO - the Scottish Community Tourism Network - which was launched in April 2022. Leading SCOTO\'s Press Pause initiative which is supporting communities across Scotland to consider what is and isn\'t working and what could be done better/differently. Press Pause brings community and business interests to the same table and seeks to recalibrate how tourism is measured with local social, economic and environment impacts being the priority. Scotland is leading the way in the development of community led tourism with our community empowerment legislation and support for community asset transfers. There are many excellent and inspirational examples across Scotland. But we need a shift in mindset.
