ABOUT CAROLYN K.
Tech marketing leader with 15+ years building, launching and scaling GTMs $0-20M. Passion for data infrastructure, developer marketing, and cloud-native technologies. MBA from UCLA Anderson. Today I am the VP of Marketing at Akuity, the GitOps platform for Kubernetes, where I lead a talented team of developer advocates and marketers building integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and, ultimately, to build pipeline and accelerate deals. As the company who created Argo and Kargo, my team also drives community initiatives and engagement across both open source communities. I have been in the K8s, dev tooling ecosystem for more than 5 years, with experience leading marketing at Calyptia and OSS community at Fluent Bit, and as the VP of Growth and Marketing at StreamNative, where I developed the growth and marketing teams from the ground up and led the Marketing, Developer Relations, Community, and Training & Doc teams, which included 18 team members. I attended UCLA for undergrad, where I received my BA in Business Economics and ran Cross-Country and Track & Field. I also attended UCLA Anderson, where I pursued my MBA with a focus on technology and entrepreneurship. I am passionate about learning and continue my education through events, conversations with mentors and industry peers, podcasts, blogs, and books. When not talking tech, I love hiking, triathlons, fashion, and dogs.
