ABOUT CAROL EZZELLE

I am a person who combines subject matter expertise, thoughtful decision-making, and a steadfast commitment to inclusion, equity, and belonging. As the head of the Assessment team, I ensure strategic alignment, coordinated decision-making, and open communication, to drive impactful results. My leadership includes managing cross-functional projects, supervising staff and consultants, and maintaining programs that support meaningful inquiries and actionable data. I leverage my expertise in psychometrics to uphold technical quality and influence the broader field of assessment through professional networks and collaborations. My desire extends beyond operational excellence to fostering a culture of learning, respect, and growth. I integrate personal and professional learning into my work and decision-making to promote a DEIB-centered culture. My collaborative approach, combined with an eye for detail and openness to feedback, strengthens relationships across teams and elevates the contributions of my direct reports and colleagues. Through partnerships with credentialing institutions, universities, and professional associations, I advocate for the National Board’s work and expanded impact. I am most proud of being invited to presentations, conducting DEIB-focused document analysis, and strengthening team collaboration. My curiosity, persistence, and commitment to reflection allows me to continuously learn, grow and adapt.
