ABOUT ANNE STEWART

I am a National Board Certified educator, cognitive coaching practitioner, and instructional designer who designs rigorous, accessible, and learner-centered learning experiences. I have spent decades applying backward design, Universal Design for Learning, and data-informed decision making in complex, high-stakes environments. I design with clarity, alignment, and sustainability in mind, and I coach others to do the same.I am deeply engaged in the responsible integration of emerging technologies in learning design. I have developed AI-supported learning experiences that promote critical thinking, ethical use, and accessibility, and have collaborated on the development of Socratic AI agents designed to guide learners through complex analysis. My work spans curriculum leadership, faculty mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and systems-level course design, and I bring intentional, learner-centered thinking to every environment in which I work.As curriculum lead and assessment strategist within my division, I have guided system-wide performance-based assessment transitions, facilitated cross-disciplinary planning, and strengthened instructional coherence at scale. I mentor new educators and partner with subject matter experts to refine instructional clarity, assessment alignment, and learner accessibility. My coaching approach centers on thoughtful questioning, trust-building, and helping others elevate their practice with confidence.
