I’ve been a Senior Software Development Manager (Sr SDM) since 2018 at Amazon and Snapchat. In both companies, I’ve successfully led multiple engineering teams, responsible for top-line business critical metrics (Amazon Prime Video transactions, Snapchat’s content supply). I strategically lead teams by ensuring we always have a well defined mission and vision of each program team, ensuring we are focused on delivering substantial impact on our product goals, and key input KPIs. As a technical leader, I stay deep in the details, and ensure we’re advancing both the technical architecture and operational excellence. I ensure we find the technical opportunities that improve the speed and reliability of our projects through strategic improvements to system architecture. For operational excellence, I focus on robust metrics, observability and mechanisms to ensure the quality and relibability of our services, fast detection of system failures or changes to critical metrics. I love being a coach to develop the team and a hiring manager to grow the team. I take a hands-on approach to developing the managers and engineers on the team, our recruitment activities, and coaching for high/low performing individuals. My typical scope is working closely with Product, Design and Data Science teams to develop product visions and strategic roadmaps to achieve business results. I also work closely with my development team leaders, to define project roadmaps, balancing customer facing projects, with our engineering excellence initiatives to improve OnCall, OE and Business metrics observability. I deep value working closely with the group\'s technical leaders to develop architectural roadmaps which can accelerate our roadmap faster with a better architecture. Most of my technical experience is on Amazon\'s AWS platform (EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch), and client experiences on Web, Mobile and Living Room devices.
