ABOUT CARLISS VERA RAMOS

Carliss Ramos, DNP, RN, CPHQ, EBP-CH, is Department Chair of the RN-to-BSN Program at San Jacinto College, one of the nation’s top-ranked community colleges. In this leadership role, she guides curriculum development, supports faculty, and advances student success by fostering evidence-based practices, promoting professional growth, and cultivating a culture of inquiry. Carliss also serves as Chief Growth & Quality Officer for Nursing Science Partners, where she leads marketing, partnerships, and customer experience, championing the vision of expanding nurses’ access to clinical inquiry and innovation.With 30 years of experience in critical care, research, quality management, accreditation, and academic leadership, Carliss is known for connecting with others and leading teams toward meaningful change. Previously a Nurse Scientist in a large academic health system, she designed and led high-impact inquiry initiatives, earning recognition for excellence in nursing. She continues to mentor and inspire the next generation of nurses while representing nurse leaders on national and international stages.
