ABOUT CAREN ROBLIN
While my career has involved social media and guiding newsrooms to truly be \"digital first,\" it expands to the creation of any content an online audience would want to engage with, including video and podcasting. Creating amazing content and delivering it in an engaging way drives me. A true \"Jill of All Trades,\" I also own Kaia FIT Sierra, a three-location women\'s fitness program in Reno-Sparks. I joined as a client in 2011 about 100 pounds overweight, leaned on the incredibly supportive community of Kaia members, lost the weight and became certified as a coach my first year at Kaia. Becoming the owner in 2018 felt nothing short of a true 360, coming out of a natural love of the business and an evolution of myself as a leader. I regularly speak in front of groups about a range of social media-related topics, serve on the Dean\'s Advisory Council for the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, and mentor UNR journalism students, whether they\'re on a news or strategic communications track. My latest endeavor involves teaching at the University of Nevada, Reno as a journalism lab instructor for JOUR 108 (a media design class).
