At SLR I am focusing on alternative fuels, including hydrogen and its derivatives. I will be working with project developers, investors and government & industry bodies to identify opportunities and develop practical strategies to take advantage of them, mitigating risks along the way. This will include performing technical & commercial due diligence, developing market entry strategies, identifying potential project sites and fuel offtakers, assessing project techno-economics, identifying funding routes, providing bid support, and more.

ABOUT CAREN LACY
At SLR I focus on alternative fuels and new energy systems. Being a physicist and R&D engineer by background, I particularly enjoy working on technology focussed projects where we help a client to solve tricky challenges with their technology or project, optimise their system, and bring it to market. Hydrogen & derivatives of course reside in a challenging commercial and regulatory space. Having a technical as well as commercial mindset, my role at SLR also involves brining together our excellent technical, strategy and market experts across our global offices. By working together, we can ensure that project developers have the greatest chance of commercial success, and that investors understand both the technical and commercial viability of their targets. What motivates me most about my work is making a positive impact for our clients, and as a result, the environment.
