ABOUT CAMILLA FEZZI
Hi there! I’m Camilla Fezzi, a proud Caltech student double-majoring in Biology and Chemistry with a minor in neurobiology, with a slightly ambitious life goal: curing the incurable (yes, I’m looking at you, cancer). I’m on a pre-MD/PhD journey because I believe science and medicine go hand in hand when it comes to making a real difference. My research adventures have taken me from exploring molecular diagnostics and cancer biology to engineering bioelectronics that could revolutionize personalized medicine. I’ve worked with bacterial cell walls, wearable biosensors, and even conducted CRISPR research into Alzheimer’s.(Basically, I love geeking out over molecular puzzles that keep most people up at night.)But life isn’t just about the lab. I founded the Equestrian Club at Caltech (because horses are awesome and surprisingly therapeutic and I am a professional showjumper!), I’m part of MEDLIFE, helping underserved communities, and I’ve been known to give a pretty solid pep talk to fellow students stressing over organic chemistry.I’m deeply passionate about science that serves people, and I’m determined to turn lofty dreams into tangible results. Whether it’s in the lab, the clinic, or out in the world, I’m here to learn, grow, and tackle the big challenges head-on—with a bit of humor and a lot of determination.
