ABOUT CAMERON MCCLURE-COLEMAN

I currently work as an Embedded Software Engineer at United Launch Alliance (ULA). My work involves simulating avionics components and developing software to test these components in a fully simulated environment. I have a B.S. in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), where I also served as President of the Cal Poly Space Systems (CPSS) rocketry club for the 20••••25 school year. For my senior project, I improved a network simulation framework used in Cal Poly’s Computer Networks course to begin the addition of features for simulating wireless communications using discrete event simulation.Previously, I led the avionics team for CPSS’s 2023 competition rocket, Crescendo, and served as project manager for a small spaceplane test platform, Sonata I, which is the first vehicle in CPSS’s renewed fly-back recoverable booster program aimed to expand upon CPSS’s capabilities developed in the Starbooster program during the Under my leadership, the team successfully designed a vehicle, tested components, and developed manufacturing processes for a prototype to advance CPSS’s space plane technologies.
