I currently have the role as a trainee Civil Engineer with experience in the rail and bridge sectors of the construction industry. Since joining Jacobs in 2019 I have mostly worked in assessing and maintaining bridges for National Highways. I am part of the team carrying out inspections, assessments and designing repair solutions to maintain structures. Day-to-day tasks include AutoCAD drawings, structural calculations, risk assessments, site visits, report writing, modelling in RING and stakeholder consultation. In addition to the above I have also undertaken works for operational rail projects. This has included assisting the design of a combined service route for the Cranbourne Line Upgrade Project in Australia and being part of the design team for Network Rail\'s Power Supply Upgrade Project on the East Coast Main Line, using MicroStation to produce models and drawings.
