Fire Marshal with over 30 years of progressively responsible experience in the fire service. Knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the fire service including administration, operations, prevention, emergency medical services, training, hazardous materials and investigations. Serving as Fire Marshal for 4 communities covering 36.7 square miles with a diverse population of approximately people. Responds to emergencies and calls for technical assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Conduct plan reviews and on-site inspections to ensure compliance with state and local fire and building codes. Work with Township and City officials to write and update ordinances. Conduct acceptance testing of fire protection systems. Performs skilled, technical, professional fire investigations, writing detailed reports, preparing case material for prosecution and provide expert testimony. Responds to emergency alarms involving all types of fires, explosions and hazardous conditions. Provides assistance to neighboring Authorities Having Jurisdiction with code interpretations. Act as the Department’s Public Information Officer. Manage the Division’s budget. Supervise and mentor Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Inspector, and five Firefighter / Inspectors.
