ABOUT BURKHARD OHS
I am an engineer and economist with 13 years of experience dedicated to driving the sustainable transformation of industries. As Chief Development Officer at ContainerGrid I lead R&D, business development and product management, developing and scaling circular solutions that keep resources in use, reduce environmental impact and create tangible business value.Before joining ContainerGrid I shaped regenerative business models at Neste in the Renewable Polymers and Chemicals unit, introducing nature positive feedstocks, designing innovative value chains and contributing to global thought leadership for a defossilized and circular chemical industry.My career journey began with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University where I focused on sustainable hydrogen production and carbon capture. I complemented this with a Master’s in Business, Management and Economics. Additionally, I gained international leadership experience through Evonik’s rotational management program in production and technology, later leading a plant engineering team.I bring together analytical and strategic thinking, open mindedness and ecosystem leadership to unite sustainability with improved economics, turning ambition into action for a greener and more resilient future.
