I am a Trainee Engineering Technician currently completing a Level 3 qualification in welding and engineering operations, with CSCS certification.My focus is on progressing into a Service and Maintenance Technician role within the rail industry, where safety, process, and reliability are critical.Alongside welding (MIG and TIG), I am developing strong fundamentals in mechanical maintenance, working to engineering drawings and work instructions, fault-finding, and safe systems of work. I am comfortable operating in regulated, safety-critical environments and understand the importance of documentation, traceability, and following procedures correctly.I am deliberately targeting long-term service roles rather than short-term project work, with the aim of building depth, technical competence, and progression through Level 4 and beyond within rail engineering.
