Over 20 years of experience in Career Development. Experience managing teams of up to 5 professional managers and over 80 employees. Managed budgets of over $2.5 million annually. I excel at helping others pursue their dreams while providing a sprinkle of reality to ensure that in their dreams don\'t cloud their reality. By getting to the root of what makes a person tick, I am able to help them chart a path for success.I started my own career in the hospitality industry. I was drawn to the glitz and glamour of creating elaborate buffets, extravagant weddings, timely meetings and exceptional dining experiences for guests. I quickly learned that the real pleasure of working in this industry was in the people I worked with, primarily the high-school and college-aged students working part-time and over the summer. This group comes with it\'s own challenges, but their enthusiasm and desire-to-please was refreshing. I later changed careers to take an opportunity to work with job seekers with disabilities; a rewarding and often very challenging endeavor. The primary reward in this position was to continue to work with students and help them achieve things that to the rest of us seem mundane. I still see many of my clients working around Brunswick in positions that I helped them secure many years ago.In 2012 I shifted gears to work with college students. Again, their youth and eagerness help keep my own batteries refreshed. To keep the attention of this group required considerable energy and creativity and no two days are the same.
