The Equitable Ann Arbor Land Trust (EA2), a new nonprofit, is organized to benefit all residents of the City of Ann Arbor and surrounding areas by developing and fostering initiatives, plans, proposals and land use decisions that support mixed-use developments of residences and commercial facilities for lease or sale. These development projects will be at both market rates and rates affordable to middle and moderate income individuals, families and businesses. EA2\'s business model is to mitigate the adverse effects of gentrification in land use in the area and nurture creative placemaking that will enhance affordability, sustainability, multi-modal mobility and architectural design.
