Principal responsibilities are- National coordination of relationship management with MSPs and MPs- Engagement with cross party groups and informal events/seminars in the Scottish Parliament- Horizon scanning of issues arising from either Parliament or Government- Delivery of SE\'s response to Parliamentary Committee inquiries (both Scottish and Westminster)- Briefing Executive Leadership, including CEO, for meetings with senior stakeholders- Provision of strategic and tactical advice and support to other business units on stakeholder mapping, analysis, and engagement.

Corporate Affairs with Scottish Enterprise. This is a role which contains a multitude – external affairs, parliamentary/government relations, and some policy (particularly around community engagement).In addition, I am a trustee of Inclusion (formal name: Inclusion Glasgow), a charity dedicated to providing support to people and their families which offers real choices and control over their services and their lives.Prior to Scottish Enterprise, I worked for the Department for International Development in a wide range of posts in both the UK and overseas, with a particular focus on engagement with multilateral organisations.I have two core professional passions. The first is a deep and abiding interest in helping people realise their potential, regardless of their background (driven by my own personal history). The second is a love for, and fascination with, networks and their power to make things happen – I get a lot of professional satisfaction from making connections between people which I know will lead to some sort of positive impact.Outside of work, a lot of my time is taken up by being a dad. In the spare time I do have, I do a lot of reading (fiction and non-fiction) and watch rugby (Glasgow Warriors and Scotland). I am a mini rugby coach with my daughter\'s team which is both a push and pull factor in keeping me fit!
