ABOUT BRENT ELMORE

My core expertise is problem solving, whether the challenge lies within manufacturing, assembly, process, IT or to do with a race car. As no one has all of the answers, I possess the abilities to reach the solution utilizing my skills and experience. Installed and implemented SPC data collection system for the Quality Assurance department. Trained quality personal in proper use of system, resulting in further growth in the Industrial and Ag markets and increasing quality of product due to usage of control charts to monitor processes to identify deficiencies in process. Once identified, made changes to processes to bring them into control. Managed team to identify replacement lathes for obsolete tracer lathes for machining of balls used in valves that are manufactured at Banjo. Researched different lathe types keying on which type would provide improved process quality and with decreased setup and cycle times, resulting in a CNC lathe that meet those requirements; also providing increased versatility by having the ability to machine additional components thus replacing manual lathes resulting in a more controlled process and increase of parts per hour. Banjo now has 15 of these lathes in production. Part of a 3 person team to select a Windows based ERP system to replace outdated AS400 system that didn’t offer several desired features, was difficult to use and was costly to maintain. This process resulted in identifying a system that met all of the established selection criteria. System was purchased and installed. I worked with the vendors tech support to import existing data in old system into the new system. Provided startup and ongoing training to users of the new system. Developed a partially automated test system for the ball valves. Prior to this system valves were all tested by hand resulting in a less than 1% of total built valves tested. Certain customers were requesting 100% of their order tested. New system met the new 100% testing requirement resulting in greater customer satisfaction by eliminating any defective product delivered to customer.
