My six year work history as a Site Carpenter saw me start as an apprentice, attending college one day a week. My apprenticeship lasted three years which then saw me qualify with a diploma NVQ 3. I have continued to work for the same Contractor ever since and have become a vital team member. I am now responsible for the timely delivery of developments on construction build projects with contract values of up to £20m, my duties and experience includes:• Ensuring developments are kept to tight deadlines so they may be executed on time• Ensuring workmanship is kept to an exceptional level• Eye for detail to ensure potential problems are solved before they become an issue • Timber Framed Buildings• Traditional Build Construction• 1st Fixing • 2nd Fixing• RSJ Installation• Adhering to detailed drawings• Operating Crane Slinger/ Banksman• Building Methods• Construction Technology • Carrying out safe working practices
