Responsible for National Guard (NG) domestic medical operations planning and all tasks associated with preparing for and executing processes for the ten Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regions\' strategic pre-incident risks and vulnerabilities associated with emergency response capabilities. Identify shortfalls in medical response operations across the 54 states and territories. Lead the ten NG Regional Medical Plans Officers (RMPOs) assigned to liaison across all FEMA regions while mentoring, guiding, and providing subject matter expertise on NG regional medical planning with the RMPOs to local, state, regional, and federal inter-agency partners identifying and planning for medical capability gaps while advising the Air, Army, and Joint directorates. Provide direct operational support to NG forces conducting domestic operations. Provide policy development inputs into the development of military-civilian medical support operations.
