ABOUT BORIS KUSCHEL

I am an application and software solutions engineer with over 16 years of combined Canadian and international experience in the areas of software product research, development, consulting and architecture. I have extensive experience leading teams as well as independently developing software solutions with different technologies for various businesses in a timely and cost effective manner.I have broad expertise with enterprise network and web/internet technologies, enterprise information technologies (data warehousing), middleware technologies, enterprise application integration (EAI), Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and distributed software system environments in addition to industry experience with the banking and the telecommunication sectors.At IBM, through working as an architect of an enterprise project and portfolio management solution (PPM), I have acquired thorough applied knowledge of the PPM, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Agile project management domains along with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards having filed a patent disclosure on resource allocation in agile projects (see below).I have more recently worked with the IBM Rational central and eastern European technical community of practice in order to advance IBM Rational PPM and ALM solutions in the solution architectures that we have developed for customers.Previous to my experiences at IBM, I was a founder of a wireless internet consulting and R&D company with 10 employees serving customer such as Ericsson for which a wireless communication stack was developed that allowed transparent internet communications over CDMA and GSM networks. Wrote several articles on the matter and also founded an open source web site advocating the open source development of wireless communications stacks presented at COMDEX in USA.
